PLAYPORT
2026

Playport is designed as a destination within the Riverside Museum, creating a space for play and informal interaction. The project began as an experimentation with generative AI. AI-generated explorations of organic forms from the site, informed the structure’s relationship with the museum’s own undulating architecture. These forms were then translated into a more deliberate geometric framework, allowing the intervention to feel integrated within the existing space while creating a clear sense of movement and spatial connection.

A warm timber palette introduces tactility and contrast against the museum’s futuristic interior, making the intervention feel more inviting and human. Fluid seating forms create moments for rest and play, while large cut-outs frame views through the structure and encourage movement between spaces. Together, these elements transform the intervention into a dynamic landscape that invites visitors to explore and interact with.
